I Am New

You cannot carry your past
into what God is doing now.

“Forget what happened before… Look at the new thing I am going to do.” — Isaiah 43:18–19

God is not continuing the old.
He is doing something new.

A new mind.
A new heart.
A new walk.

What once defined you
no longer has authority over you.

“Look! I am making everything new!” — Revelation 21:5

So I write what Heaven is saying:

I am not who I was.

I am who God says I am.

I AM

Chosen.
Set apart.
Fearfully and wonderfully made.
Protected and kept.
Redeemed and forgiven.
Accepted and valued.

I am a light.
I am an intercessor.

“I know the plans I have for you…” — Jeremiah 29:11

Nothing was wasted.

Not the past.
Not the confusion.
Not the version of me I used to be.

It all served a purpose.

To test my faith.
To teach me obedience.
To lead me to truth.

So I Choose

I choose the Lord.

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

I will love Him
with all my heart,
with all my soul,
with all my mind.

I will love others.
I will walk in truth.
I will obey His Word.
I will pray without ceasing.
I will bear fruit.

A New Hunger

I am no longer thirsty for the world.

I am thirsty for the Kingdom.
I am thirsty for Jesus Christ.

“I will give water… to anyone who is thirsty.” — Revelation 21:6–7

He is the Beginning.
He is the End.

And everything in between
is being made new.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus,

I receive the new life You have given me.
Teach me to walk in it fully.
Help me leave the past behind
and live in truth.

So it is so.

Amen.
